Mowing the Back Yard

First, of course, that is not me on the tractor. I’m taking the picture. And this is not our property. But it is our backyard. Our village is surrounded by hillside pasturland for the Charolais cattle.

Medieval Fountain

Anytime there is water around I am attracted. This fountain is in the medieval village of Châteauneuf en Auxois. We have a restored medieval house in a village not far away.

Burgundy Lake near Châteauneuf en Auxois

Along the Burgundy canal are numerous Lakes/reservoirs to supply the water. I’ve been many times to this little jewel and the light is always enchanting.

Slowly, I am making the transition from analog to digital. After all, many old timers have followed this path. The photo above was taken with a Leica M8 & Sumericon 50mm. My equipment includes Canon DSLR’s, fast Canon L and Zeiss primes, Leica cameras and Leica and Leitz lenses.
