Monet’s Rock has a place of honor in my exhibition of black & white photos. It is my first exhibition of photograph in France. Since my arrival in France in 1994 I have shown my painting and I am a professional (i.e. I pay taxes). The exhibition is at Châteauneuf en Auxois and closes Sunday the 16th of September.
I love old French bridges. If the light is okay I cannot pass by them without doing a photograph. Gissey is a beautiful spot on the Burgundy canal.
There is a section of the valley L’Ouche which is magnificent. The Burgundy Canal runs through the Valley and my favorite part is between Fleurey sur Ouche and Le Pont D’Ouche. It is the play of light in this area that reignited my passion for photography.
Yesterday I discovered a charming area on the top of the mountain above Nuits St. Georges. An amazing feature of France is what you find by taking the little roads.
A side note: The butterfly that I posted several weeks ago I think made its final visit this last week. Over the weeks it would periodically return and land at my feet in the patio. This time it was looking very ragged.
